We want to share an update regarding provider availability at our McCandless Office.
Mary Kate Wraywill be transitioning to a full-time role, serving our patients in the hospital setting at UPMC Passavant. As she moves into this role, she will no longer see patients for scheduled outpatient visits at our McCandless Office.
Mary Kate has valued the relationships she has built with patients through her time in the office, and this transition allows her to focus more fully on an area of care she is especially passionate about. It also strengthens the support we are able to provide to our patients when they are admitted to the hospital.
In addition to Mary Kate’s transition, Nathaniel Smith’s role will shift slightly. He will continue seeing patients at our McCandless Office in the afternoons while providing additional hospital coverage in the mornings alongside Mary Kate and our other hospital providers.
What This Means for Our McCandless Patients
Patients who have typically scheduled with Mary Kate will continue to have several provider options available at McCandless, including our physicians and Nathaniel Smith. Our team can help connect you with the provider and appointment availability that best fit your needs if you're unsure who to see.
Our goal is to make this transition as easy as possible while continuing to provide the personalized, dependable care our patients expect from Heyl Family Practice.
